President Obama announced the latest recipients of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching this morning, and among the honorees is Central Academy math teacher Brian Reece. He is the 11th DMPS educator to earn this prestigious award since it was created in 1983. Visual art students in the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme at Central Academy held their senior art exhibit on Tuesday evening. Works in a variety of style and media graced the halls of the school, marking the culmination of a class in which instructor Dara Green’s goal is for students to begin to think like artists and not mimics of the works of others.
