2-hour Early Dismissal

​Dear Central Academy Students and families,

Because of severe weather this afternoon, Des Moines Public Schools will be dismissing 2 hour early today, Wednesday, December 15, 2021.

Here is how this affects Central Classes:

DMPS High Schools: 

  • Block 4 cut short by 10 min, Block 6 Cancelled.
  • No MTSS Lunch because no period 6 at Central.
  • Central students arrive back at HS by 12:15. They will miss some of period 4.

Central High School students:

  • Block 4 and 6 are cancelled.
  • Students who attend Central for block 2 will stay through lunch.  Bus pick up at 11:45 after lunch.

Central Middle School students:

  • 8th Grade Academy classes as normal. Students return to home school at 11:15 for lunch as normal.
  • Prep Academy (7th Grade) Cancelled.
