Science Bowl Team Competes at Regionals
The Iowa Regional High School Science Bowl is an opportunity for Iowa’s top science and math students to face-off in an intense question and answer format where contestants are quizzed on their knowledge of math and a range of science disciplines including biology, chemistry, Earth and space science, physics and energy. Iowa’s Regional competition is hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy’s Ames Laboratory and Iowa State University. The Academy team breezed through the qualifying rounds in the morning and did rather well in the afternoon session.
The winning team receives an all-expenses-paid trip to the DOE’s National Science Bowl in Washington D.C. April 28-May 2, 2016.
