Parent Academy Meeting January 12
The next Parent Academy is Tuesday, January 12 from 6 to 7 PM at Central Academy. Choose from two of the following Topics:
ESSA and Gifted. Presented by Stephanie Davis, Academy GT Consultant. The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) was signed into law on December 10th, 2015 as a replacement for No Child Left Behind. This session will be an overview of ESSA and how it pertains to Gifted Education.
Is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme right for you? Presented by Isaac Pedelty, IB DP Coordinator. Learn why the top academic 10th graders should consider this exceptional 2-year program of study.
High School Credit options for 8th graders. Visit with Jessica Gogerty, Central Academy Director. Stop by the lobby to pick up information and ask questions about 8th grade high school credit options.
Registering for the 2016 AP exam. Visit with Jessica Gogerty, Central Academy Director. Stop by the lobby to pick up information and ask questions about AP exam ordering and testing procedures.
Visit with select 8th grade students. Eighth grade Government students who self-selected to do a presentation display on their in-depth study of a current global issue will be on hand to explain their research and take questions and comments in the lobby from 5:00 – 6:00 prior to the Parent Academy sessions.
