Parent Academy on Tuesday, March 3, at Academy

We’ve moved the Parent Academy meeting to Central Academy, 1912 Grand Ave. on Tuesday, March 3 from 6 to 7 PM in Central Academy’s Lobby, Rooms 1007, 1013 and 2013.   Thirty-minute sessions start at 6:00 and 6:30.  Choose from two of the following Topics:  Parent Support Circle, International Baccalaureate Information, Debate Club demonstration, AP Exam Ordering Information.

  • Parents of Gifted Support Circle: Presented by Stephanie Davis, Academy GT Consultant.  Discuss some of the challenges and joys of raising a child with gifted behaviors.
  • Is the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme is right for you?  Presented by Tamara Pfantz, IB DP Coordinator.  Learn why the top academic 10th graders should consider this exceptional 2-year program of study.
  • Student Debate Demonstration : The eighth grade debate club mentored by senior Roosevelt debaters, Ted Appel, Jacob Appel and Alex Atal will be  presenting their first debate event at the Parent Academy. All are welcome to come and cheer on their efforts as they explore new opportunities in developing academic excellence.
  • Question and Answer Booth.  Visit with Jessica Gogerty, Central Academy Director.  Stop by the lobby and ask questions about AP exam ordering.
