AP Biology Teacher Participates in Externship at Zoo

AP Biology teacher, Sarah Davitt, participated in Real World Externships for STEM teachers at the Des Moines Blank Park Zoo this summer.  Ms. Davitt spent 6 weeks full time on site at the zoo contributing authentically to operations and gleaning ideas for classroom applications of both content and 21st century skills.  Ms. Davitt also wrote project-based unit entitled “Where are all the  pollinators going” for other AP Biology teachers to use around the state based on her experience and expertise.
