Nellans Wins National Award For Writing

We are pleased to announce that Central Academy Advanced Creative Writing student Lily Nellans earned national recognition in the 2014 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.  Lily has been identified by panels of creative professionals as one of the most talented young writers in the nation.  This year, almost 255,000 works of art and writing were submitted.  Only the top 1% were recognized at the national level.  These students have been invited to attend a national ceremony at the world-famous Carnegie Hall on Friday, June 6.  The National Ceremony at Carnegie Hall will also be webcast live at 6:00 pm ET.  Learn more at www.artandwriting.org.
