World Food Prize 2013
Four Central Academy students participated in the World Food Prize Youth Institute at Iowa State University on April 29th. 300 high school students and teachers came together with over 100 experts, research scientists, government officials, and business and community leaders from across the state to propose and explore their own solutions TO END HUNGER AND SOLVE THE GREATEST GLOBAL CHALLENGES OF OUR TIME.
The 2013 paper topic is Ending Hunger in Our Lifetime: A Call to Action
Those in attendance at this year’s Institute were Anna Johnson, Sarah Johnson, Vaibhav Srikaran and Justin Weeks
The students defended their paper and went to a breakout session hosted by Iowa State University faculty on various food and agricultural topics
