IB Diploma Programme Informational Meeting

Attention Sophomores: Consider Applying to be an IB Candidate at DMPS’ Central Academy
Since the fall of 2008, Des Moines Public Schools’ Central Academy has offered an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme as another approach to learning for students. The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. Students who complete the two-year program have a world-class education with an internationally-recognized curriculum and rigorous external assessment, 21st century skills, and a credential respected by colleges and universities around the world.

Successful candidates for the IB Diploma Programme are students who are motivated, enjoy intellectual and academic challenges, possess good time management skills, and have taken rigorous preparatory coursework. Learn more about the program by attending an informational meeting on Thursday, January 31, at 6:00 p.m. in the Central Campus Multipuprose Room, 1800 Grand Avenue. For more information, call Tamara Pfantz at 242-8512.
