AP Physics C Exam Orders

AP Physics C has 2 separate exams: AP Physics C: Mechanics (semester 1) and AP Physics C: Electromagnetism (semester 2).  Many schools around the world offer each of these as year long classes instead of semester long classes.  But some schools, like ours, offer both classes in a single year.

I’m noticing that many of you have already ordered and paid for the AP Physics C: Electromagnetism exam (semester 2 class starts March 31).  Because this course starts in the second semester, we can still place orders for the exam without penalty or extra fees.   So, if you haven’t done it yet, you still have one week to place your order for AP Physics C: EM.

I need to place the order with the College Board in early March.  If you want to order the exam, join the class on myap.collegeboard.org using the join code: 7KX7QM  and select “yes” by March 5.  Some of you have already done this and you can see AP Physics C: EM in your College Board account.

Once I see your order in the system, I will (or already have) contact your school bookkeeper to add the $95 fee to your Infinite Campus account (students who qualify for a textbook fee waiver will automatically have the United Way grant applied to their accounts. But we still need to place the order by March 5).  There will be some flexibility around the deadline to pay this fee because the Physics C: EM class doesn’t start until March 31.  It would be helpful if we could have this paid by the end of March.

You can cancel your order at any time before taking the exam at no cost. You will get a refund if you paid for the exam and don’t take it.

There will be several test dates for each of these exams.  In April, you will have to opportunity to tell me which date you’d prefer:

PHYSICS C: Mechanics

  • May 3, 12:00 PM -2:00 PM, Paper and pencil test at Academy
  • May 24, 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM, Paper and pencil test at Academy
  • June 9, 3:00 PM – 4:30 PM, Digital test at home

PHYSICS C: Electromagnetism

  • May 25, 8:00 AM – 10:00 AM, Paper and pencil test at Academy
  • June 10, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM, Digital test at Home

There is also an earlier paper pencil version of the Electromagnetism exam, too. But it is only available on May 3 at 2:00 at Academy.  You’ll miss nearly 3 weeks of instruction if you take the exam early.  So, this option will be available by appointment only.

IN SUMMARY: (If you haven’t done this already)

  1. Join the Physics C: EM class on myap.collegeboard.org by March 5 (next Friday).  Join code: 7KX7QM​
  2. Choose “Yes” if you want to order the exam.  If you don’t put the code by March 5, you will not be able to order later.
  3. Pay your Exam fee through Infinite Campus as soon as you can in March.
