English Book Orders for 2019-2020

Every year, students enrolled in English at Academy need a set of novels or texts that they can annotate (so it cannot be a library book). We use a bulk supplier that allows us to purchase these books at a reduced price. You may choose to order one or more of these books from us or you can supply your own. There are 2 ways to order your books:

If you want to pay for them now:

After you complete Online Registration* got to the DMPS’ RevTrack payment system (https://dmps.revtrak.net/). You can order and pay for all your school fees including your English books for Academy.  The table below shows the list of books by their order names.

NOTE:

  • There are no book orders for 7th Grade Prep Academy English classes
  • WH stands for Wallace Homestead Building, where Central Academy is located.  (CA was previously used in our district for the Cassidy building).
  • There is a Price List below that has the full title of the novels.
  • Do not reorder The Four Great Tragedies in 12th grade if you have a copy from AP Lang in 11th grade– We’ll be using a different play from the same book.
  • The Miscellaneous Modern Dramas is a group of titles that students choose from in class.  They each cost $9 if you order from us and students will select just one title.  Get a list of titles from Mrs. Brooks if  you want to purchase it on your own instead of through Academy.

If you want to pay for them later or if you qualify for a textbook fee waver:

Use this form to order books from us: www.tinyurl.com/CAEng2020  This form will be open from July 16 until September 27, 2019.

Placing an order with this form will add the books to your fee page in Infinite Campus. If your family qualifies for a textbook fee waiver or reduction*, we will automatically adjust the cost of these books (free or half price), too.  We will know within 24 hours after you complete Online Registration* if you qualify for the textbook fee waiver or reduction.   If you do not qualify for a textbook fee waiver or reduction you can use the RevTrack system to pay for these books as you would any other school fee.

*To determine which students qualify for fee waivers, families completed the Household Economic Survey as part of the online registration for school. If you qualify for a fee waiver at your school, your English books at Academy will be provided with no cost. If you qualify for a partial fee waiver at your home school, Academy English books will be provided at half cost.

*Online Registration

Families must complete Online Registration at their school each year.  Here is a guide to DMPS’ Online Registration:  2019 06 26 10 07 27 Online Registration Guide 19
